Brown leather with gilt titles and decoration, gilt borders to panels, elaborate gilt tooling at spine and along the top, bottom, and fore -edges. Gilt sharp and bright. Leather very good with light scuffing, light wear to hinges. Volume one has a small (< 1/4 in) split to front hinge at spine head. Spines square. Bindings sound. Top edges of textblocks a little dusty. Marbled endsheets. Fold-out frontispiece in volume one. Bookplates to front paste downs of both volumes. Very sparse foxing to interiors, with pages overall very bright, clean and free of markings. Used: Very Good. Item #BBS-2010473
