Date code D-I, which can indicate a publication date of 1934 or 1959; this copy appears to be a 1959 issue, supported by the type of paper for the DJ, as well as the design of the DJ rear panel, which features a sparse number of titles as is consistent with later printings of the Twain uniform trade edition, and the designation 'no. 2497' near the bottom. Blue cloth with gold titles and decoration, with light general edgewear, dampstaining to back and to bottom margin of front. Spine square. Binding sound. Dust jacket has some edgewear, soiling to bottom edges and to front fore-edge, and light fading to spine. DJ protected in Mylar. Pages clean and bright, unmarked.
