Works of Jules Verne - Fifteen Volume Set

Vincent Parke and Company, 1911. Hardcover. The complete works of Jules Verne in fifteen volumes. Red half leather with gilt ruling, spine titling, and elaborate spine decoration. Volumes have light edgewear, with some dampstaining to covers and textblock edges, with narrow effect on interior margin - there is usually no effect on texts. This dampstaining to the boards is heavier on volumes two and 11-15, and is significant on volumes eleven and fifteen, with the cloth lifting at front panel of volume eleven and the front board of volume fifteen gently warped. Minor chipping to spine head of volume nine. Spines square. Bindings sound. Gilt top edges, and marbled paper endsheets. Interior dampstaining on volumes eleven through fifteen stretches inward from the bottom and fore-edge margins, throughout fly leaves, front matter, and including the frontispieces and title pages of volumes 13-15. The interiors are otherwise clean, with lightly toned pages, no prior owner's names, notes, or underlinings. Inquiries welcome. Photographs available upon request. Used: Good. Item #BBS-2017768
