Grant Richards, 1898. Hardcover. Second printing, August 1898. Brown cloth with titling and decoration in black and orange, gilt titling to spine. Cloth a little grubby, rubbed and edgeworn, with points of fraying to corners. Gilt sharp and bright. Inner hinges slightly cracked; binding shaken, intact. Textblock edges sparsely foxed, with a thin row of dampstaining across fore-edge which only barely affects the inner margins. Bookplate at front paste down. Pages toned, with sporadic foxing.
