Aux Depens d'un Amateur, 1948. Hardcover. #9 of 950 hand-numbered limited edition copies. A ribald collection of songs, explicitly illustrated with numerous in-text pictures and fourteen full-color plates. Loose leaf/unbound signatures, in jacket; jacket is fortified with cardstock panels laid behind front and back (loose - not adhered), and protected in glassine wrapper. Book and jacket wrapped in brown papered binder with gilt spine titling; all of this housed in matching brown papered slipcase with purple cloth at entry. Slipcase rubbed with light to moderate edgewear, including some fraying to corners and along bottom edges; appears to be missing the narrow paper panels at top and bottom of the case. Light age-soil to the binder, with tanning and edgewear to spine. Illustrations have faint occasional echoes/transfer at facing pages; interior else clean and unmarked.
