Not a first edition; this copy has the Caldecott Honor medal at front cover. Black papered boards over navy cloth spine, blind-stamped decoration to board, silver spine titling. Boards show light shelf-wear. Spine square. Binding sound. Dust jacket has light to moderate edgewear, including tape repair to top fore-edge corner of front cover. Previously a classroom copy, with stamp at front paste down, and something inked out in black sharpie at both FFEP and rear paste down. The signed bookplate is inscribed to this third-grade class.
